Susan May Warren

Chief Steward of Story, Strategy, & Success

USA Today bestselling author, missionary, business strategist, and story architect—Susie May Warren brings every part of her remarkable journey to her role as CEO of Sunrise Media Group. With over 100 novels and nearly 2 million books sold worldwide, she understands storytelling from the ground up. But she’s also a numbers person, a visionary, and a people champion—overseeing everything from CFO duties and accounting to new business development, marketing strategy, employee development, operations, and revenue growth. She’s built Sunrise Publishing into a powerhouse by combining her love for great stories with sharp business acumen and an unwavering commitment to her team’s success.

Before conquering the publishing world, Susie and her husband Andrew spent eight years as missionaries in Siberia, Russia with their four children—an adventure that taught her resilience, vision, and how to dream big in impossible circumstances. As founder of Novel.Academy, she’s passionate about coaching authors to build sustainable careers. Featured in Christian Women Today magazine and on national television, Susie’s influence reaches far beyond the page. When she’s not steering Sunrise Publishing or writing her next bestseller, you’ll find her traveling the world to visit her adult children or spoiling her adorable grandchildren. For Susie, success isn’t just about the bottom line—it’s about building something that honors God, empowers people, and leaves a legacy worth celebrating.

Rel Mollet

Marketing Director

From courtroom to creative campaigns! Rel Mollet traded in her law degree for the literary life nearly 15 years ago and hasn’t looked back. As Sunrise Publishing’s Marketing Director, she brings razor-sharp strategic thinking and a deep understanding of what makes readers fall in love with books. Her superpower? Taking the marketing tasks authors dread and transforming them into campaigns that actually work—freeing up writers to do what they do best while she works her magic behind the scenes.

A founding member of the INSPY Awards, book blogger for nearly 20 years, and judge for the premier Christian industry awards for six years, Rel knows the publishing world inside and out. Her passion for the written word was born the moment she could read (evidenced by her overflowing bookcases and towering TBR pile). When she’s not crafting marketing strategies that connect books with their perfect readers, you’ll find her in Melbourne, Australia with her movie-loving husband, beloved daughters, Fleming (their big, black labrador x golden retriever), and whatever adorable Seeing Eye Dog puppy they’re currently raising. She’s proof that you can juggle book launches and puppy training—and make both look effortless!

Sarah Erredge

Design and Advertising Specialist (aka Director of First Impressions)

From walking brides down the aisle to walking books into readers’ hearts! Sarah brings her event coordination superpowers and project management prowess to Sunrise Publishing as our Design and Advertising Specialist. Living out her dream of working from home with her dogs by her side, she’s the creative force behind our product designs, killer ad copy, and market trend insights. If a book needs to make an unforgettable first impression, Sarah’s your girl—she knows exactly how to capture attention and convert browsers into buyers.

A multi-published author herself, Sarah brings both sides of the publishing equation to her work—she knows what authors need AND what readers want. Her passion for helping others crush their goals shines through whether she’s coordinating the perfect wedding day or launching a book that connects with its perfect readers. She understands the magic of getting every detail right and the power of strategic execution. When she’s not designing eye-catching covers or crafting irresistible ad campaigns, you’ll find her cuddling with her kiddo and two dogs or binge-watching murder documentaries (because every good marketer knows how to keep an audience hooked!). She’s proof that you can be equal parts creative genius and cozy homebody—with impeccable taste in true crime on the side.

Katie Donovan

Production Director & Editorial Director

Some people are born editors—Katie was the six-year-old wandering her classroom with spelling corrections before she even knew it was a career! Despite a detour through a music degree and years as a legal secretary, she eventually came full circle, trading legal briefs for manuscript edits and picking up her (digital) red pen to become Sunrise Publishing’s Production Director and Editorial Director. Now she orchestrates the complex dance of turning raw manuscripts into polished books, ensuring every word is exactly where it needs to be and every project crosses the finish line on time.

When she’s not playing with other people’s words or homeschooling her crew, Katie enjoys reading, making music, and falling down research rabbit holes on whatever subject has captured her curiosity this week. She lives in the Hunter Valley, two hours north of Sydney, Australia, with her husband, six children, two cats, and a partial grip on her sanity. (In all honesty, she should probably be doing the housework—but where’s the fun in that when there are manuscripts to perfect?) Katie’s proof that you can juggle editorial excellence, family chaos, and creative pursuits all at once—as long as you don’t mind a little cat hair on your keyboard.

Tari Faris

Print Layout & Quality Specialist / Author Development Coordinator

A math-loving dyslexic girl who had read less than a handful of novels by college graduation? Not exactly the typical origin story for a fiction writer and ordained minister—but then again, Tari Faris has never done things the typical way. With more than fifteen years of writing under her belt, she traded equations for plot twists and now brings both her analytical precision and creative passion to Sunrise Publishing as our Print Layout & Quality Specialist and Author Development Coordinator. She’s the perfect blend of left brain meets right brain—recruiting and teaching new authors while ensuring every book layout is pixel-perfect and every detail passes her eagle-eyed quality control.

Happily married to her amazing husband for fifteen wonderful years, Tari juggles raising three sweet children with mentoring emerging authors and perfecting print layouts. God’s plans may not have been easy or made immediate sense (science major to ordained minister to romance author, anyone?), but as she’ll tell you—they’re never boring! When she’s not working or writing, you’ll find her fueled by copious amounts of coffee, rock hounding with her husband and kids, and creatively avoiding housework. Because really, who needs a spotless house when there are authors to nurture and books to perfect?

Caroline Brenninkmeyer

Content Marketing Manager

Caroline brings the perfect trifecta to Sunrise Publishing: creativity, strategy, and a genuine love for storytelling. As our Content Marketing Manager, she’s the mastermind behind maintaining our brand narrative, crafting engaging content that stops the scroll, and overseeing the strategic vision that connects readers with the stories and authors they’ll obsess over. With a bachelor’s degree in Digital Media and a master’s in Marketing, she’s got the credentials to back up her creative genius—and the eye-catching graphics and compelling campaigns to prove it.

A lifelong reader with a special place in her heart for books and publishing, Caroline lives and breathes the intersection of story and strategy. When she’s not scheduling posts or brainstorming the next viral content idea, you’ll find her traveling the world, nose-deep in a good book, dancing at concerts, or binge-watching shows on her couch with her dog as her loyal viewing companion. She’s proof that you can be both a strategic marketing powerhouse and a total book nerd—and that the best content comes from people who genuinely love what they’re promoting!

Lisa Jordan

Community & Author Relations Manager

Heart, home, and faith aren’t just themes in Lisa Jordan‘s award-winning novels—they’re the foundation of everything she does at Sunrise Publishing. As our Community & Author Relations Manager, Lisa is the warm, welcoming heartbeat connecting readers to their next favorite book and authors to the support they need to thrive. Whether she’s coordinating newsletters, sparking engagement through Goodreads contests, or making sure authors feel heard and equipped, Lisa brings the same care to building community that she brings to crafting her PW-bestselling Love Inspired romances.

As author liaison for Sunrise Publishing, line director for our Hometown Hearts contemporary romance line, and operations manager for Novel Academy through My Book Therapy, Lisa wears more hats than most people own—and makes it look effortless. Happily married to her real-life hero for more than thirty-six years, she lives out the happily-ever-afters she writes with her husband, two grown sons, and two rascally rescue dogs. When she’s not nurturing authors or engaging readers, you’ll find her getting creative in her craft studio or completely lost in a good book.

Kristyn Fortner

Innovations & New Projects Specialist

From speech pathologist to word whisperer extraordinaire! Kristyn traded in therapy sessions for plot twists and now brings her eagle eye and book-loving heart to Sunrise Publishing as our Innovations & New Projects Specialist. She’s the creative force breathing new life into our beloved backlist titles—crafting eye-catching graphics, strategizing sales campaigns, and expanding our reach into new language markets through translations.

Her passion for rom coms, thrillers, cozy mysteries, and small-town romance means she gets what makes readers click “buy now” at 2 a.m. Married for 18 years, Kristyn lives in northwest Arkansas with her husband and two sons, whom she homeschools part-time. When she’s not spotting untapped potential in our backlist, you’ll find her with her nose in a book or cheering on her favorite baseball, basketball, or football team. At Sunrise Publishing, she’s the champion our catalog deserves—innovative, creative, and always ready to make books sparkle!
